New Poll

The new poll is up. This one is tricky, because, frankly, both of those songs are horrendous. I keep waffling back and forth over which song is actually worse. Every time I go to vote for "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer," because of the absolute crudeness and annoying vocal tones, I then hear the whiny voice of the kid in "Christmas Shoes," begging for some stupid footwear for his sick mother. Seriously, Mom, if you were sick, would you really want me to beg for some special Christmas shoes for you? Wouldn't you rather that I donate a kidney for you or something? But then, when I decide that I'm going to vote for "Christmas Shoes," I realize how much I really, really hate GGROBAR.
It's a conundrum, plain and simple.

I admit it! I'm a flip-flopper! I'm going to have to cast two votes, simply because I cannot have "Christmas Shoes" up there without a vote. (Meaning my first vote went to GGROBAR.)

And how about those hideously bad cat meow/dog bark carols?! For crying out loud! I can't stand those!

Sis, don't lie to me, if Bosco and Gracie were able to meow a Christmas carol for you, you would love it.

Bosco, actually, does meow us a carol every morning. It's called "The 7 o'clock Feed Me Time Shuffle."

I, for one, do not, in fact, love it.

Too many conjunctive adverbs up there?

On the other hand, I got my Christmas present early this year--Sufjan Steven's Songs for Christmas Sing-A-Long. It has renewed my faith in all things Christmas music.

I admit it, this poll has me completely frazzled. I voted for GGROBAR at first, but then I could not, COULD NOT, stand the thought of the poll going 100% to GGROBAR and 0% to the "Christmas Shoes," so I had to change my vote.
